Basketball Recap: Gross Catholic Comes Up Short

Gross Catholic suffered their biggest defeat since February 1, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers, falling 54-32. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now lost four in a row.

Gross Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Bishop Neumann, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gross Catholic will head out to square off against Platteview at 4:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Bishop Neumann, they will venture away from home to take on Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
