Preview: South Central Rebels vs. Christian Academy Warriors
The South Central Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Central is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
South Central pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Southwestern by a score of 58-55.
Meanwhile, Christian Academy took a serious blow against Rock Creek Academy on Tuesday, falling 57-25. Christian Academy has struggled against Rock Creek Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carly Stevens, who scored five points along with four steals, and Leah Stevens who scored seven points.
South Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
South Central came up short against Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 55-46. Can South Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
