Football Recap: East/World of Inquiry Skates Past Brockport with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East/World of Inquiry walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 34-7 victory over the Brockport Blue Devils. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Taye Brown Jr. produced another solid effort rushing for 64 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 107 yards and one touchdown.

East/World of Inquiry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Legend Taylor and Caiden Boyce. Taylor is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

The win (which was East/World of Inquiry's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.7 points over those games. As for Brockport, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Coming up, East/World of Inquiry will square off against Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Brockport, they have already played their next contest, a 34-7 loss against East on the 7th.
