Basketball Recap: Battle Mountain Comes Up Short

Battle Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 64-25 loss at the hands of the Skyline Falcons. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Battle Mountain still got an impressive performance from Beau Suman, who posted 14 points.

Dj Swan was nothing short of spectacular for Skyline: he went 12 for 21 en route to 29 points. Another player making a difference was Johnny McCray, who had six points in addition to 11 boards and eight assists.

Battle Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Skyline, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Battle Mountain will square off against Grand Junction Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Mountain is facing Grand Junction Central at the right time seeing as Grand Junction Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Skyline, they will challenge Erie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.
