Top 10 gets a shake-up after weekend losses for St. Anthony and Whitney Young.

Unranked in the preseason, Bishop Montgomery is likely to take a perfect record into the Southern Section Division 4-AA playoffs. The Knights could opt into California's new open division state format to set up potential showdowns with No. 6 Mater Dei or No. 10 Long Beach Poly.

Xcellent 25 National Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard

1. (No. 1 last week) Lone Peak (Highland, Utah), 18-1
The Knights have crushed in-state competition this season, going 10-0 and winning by an average margin of 31.2 points per game. Riverton kept it closer than any other Utah team has Friday night but still lost by 19.

2. (2) Simeon (Chicago), 19-2
Jabari Parker led the way with 23 points as the Wolverines blasted Coronado (Henderson, Nev.) 80-33 Saturday at the Las Vegas Hoop Fest. It was the last of Simeon's six trips out of state this season.

3. (5) Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, Calif.), 25-0
A win this week over St. Bernard (Playa del Rey) would send the Knights into the Southern Section Division 4-AA playoffs with a perfect record.

4. (6) Germantown (Wis.), 18-0
The Warhawks exploded for 36 first quarter points Friday night against Milwaukee Lutheran en route to a 94-44 victory. Germantown – winners of 46 games in a row – also notched a 44-point win over Cedarburg last week.

5. (7) Lake Oswego (Ore.), 19-0
Saint Mary's bound wing Calvin Hermanson returned to the lineup and tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Lakers dominated rival Lakeridge on Friday night 66-44. Lake Oswego is limiting opponents to just 44.2 points per game this season.{PAGEBREAK}

6. (8) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 24-1
Few teams in America would have survived a week like the one Mater Dei just experienced. The Monarchs rattled off three victories in four days over St. John Bosco (Bellflower), Eisenhower (Rialto) and Westchester (Los Angeles) – teams that have combined for 48 victories this season.

7. (4) St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), 19-1
The Friars saw their 83-game win streak come to an end Friday in a 47-38 loss to St. Benedict's Prep (Newark). Another big test awaits Saturday at the Primetime Shootout against Linden, who knocked off then-No. 15 Math Civics & Sciences (Philadelphia) over the weekend.

8. (9) DeSoto (Texas), 27-2
Not many programs have cranked out victories on a more consistent basis than DeSoto in recent years. The Eagles are approaching their seventh 30-win season in the last eight years.

9. (3) Whitney Young (Chicago), 18-3
The Dolphins are probably out of the national championship picture following back-to-back losses to Chicago Public Schools rivals. But going through No. 2 Simeon en route to a Class 4A state title would still be considered a sweet season for Whitney Young.

10. (10) Long Beach Poly (Calif.), 22-2
Roschon Prince did his thing with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 60-54 win over St. John Bosco (Bellflower) on Saturday at the Nike Extravaganza.{PAGEBREAK}
11. (11) Olympic (Charlotte, N.C.), 18-0
Harding University (Charlotte) took Olympic to the wire in a one-point game back on Jan. 11. The Trojans get Harding again Friday.

12. (12) Iowa City West (Iowa), 17-0
Wyatt Lohaus and Jeremy Morgan both hit the 20-point mark in West's 86-59 win over Waterloo East on Friday. The Trojans have won 42 games in a row.

13. (13) Midwest City (Okla.), 19-0
The Bombers are closing in on an unbeaten regular season. Midwest City has already defeated all four remaining opponents.

14. (14) Pershing (Detroit), 15-0
Kahlil Felder is apparently healthy again, and that's big for the Doughboys. The senior point guard led Pershing with 20 points in a 71-59 win over Denby (Detroit) last week.

15. (16) Blanche Ely (Pompano Beach, Fla.), 18-1
The Tigers defeated a very good Deerfield Beach team – for the second time this season – on Saturday in the final of the Broward County Athletic Association Big 8 Tournament. It marked Blanche Ely's eighth title in the event since 2002 under head coach Melvin Randall.{PAGEBREAK}

The Charging Wildcats hammered Searcy and Cabot last week, but a big test awaits Friday in a rematch against 19-3 Jonesboro.

17. (19) Park Tudor (Indianapolis), 16-1
Not everybody is convinced the Panthers are the best team in the Hoosier State. Park Tudor is No. 7 statewide in Jeff Sagarin's rankings and No. 10 in MaxPreps.com's Freeman Rankings.

18. (20) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 22-3
After a win over Orange Lutheran (Calif.) at the Nike Extravaganza, the Gaels have a pair of tough league games this week against Legacy (North Las Vegas) and Centennial (Las Vegas).

19. (22) Theodore Roosevelt (Washington, D.C.), 19-0
The Roughriders have five players averaging in double figures led by Marvin Cyrus and Jerrell Allen. Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Md.) should give Roosevelt one of its toughest tests of the season Thursday.

The Clippers have won their last four outings by an average of 35.2 points per game.{PAGEBREAK}

Under head coach Tim Whipple, Irmo is 73-7 over the past three seasons.

22. (NR) Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park, Kan.), 14-0
Wins over DeLaSalle (Minneapolis, Minn.), Nixa (Mo.) and Valley (West Des Moines, Iowa) – programs with a combined record of 48-8 – look more impressive every week. All five starters for the Huskies are juniors, led by Iowa State commitment Clayton Custer.

23. (NR) Walnut Hills (Cincinnati), 18-1
The Eagles step up to erase a bit of a cold spell for nationally ranked teams from the Buckeye State. Walnut Hills beat Roselle Catholic (N.J.) at Flyin' to the Hoop two weeks ago and the lone loss came to Huntington Prep (W.Va.) in December.

24. (NR) Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, N.C.), 20-1
After a brief stay outside the Xcellent 25, the Spartans are back after an extremely impressive 73-55 win over Davie (Mocksville) on Friday.

25. (NR) Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.), 19-3
Since Dec. 29, Gonzaga's schedule has included Chester (Pa.), DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) twice, Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia), Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) and Salesian (Richmond, Calif.). The Eagles are 12-1 since that date and the lone unbeaten in rugged Washington Catholic Athletic Conference play.
