It was a proper cat-fight when Richlands challenged Jacksonville on Monday. Neither the Wildcats nor the Cardinals could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Richlands' first draw of the season.

Omar Rodriguez Aguirre and Isaiah Betton scored both of Richlands' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

With that draw, Richlands' record moves to 2-0-1. Meanwhile, Jacksonville's record is now 1-1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richlands will face off against Southwest Onslow at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jacksonville, they will square off against Hunt at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
