Prosser and Ephrata are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Prosser is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Prosser is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Ellensburg on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Ephrata hadn't done well against Toppenish recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 5-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Ephrata needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The victory got Ephrata back to even at 7-7. As for Prosser, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Prosser skirted past Ephrata 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
