Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer was the 2-0 winner over Rochester when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Zebras by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Zebras 25-21 in the first set.

Pioneer started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 23-25, 25-19, 27-25, 15-8.

Pioneer now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Rochester, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Pioneer will take on Adams Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rochester, they will square off against Triton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
