Preview: Camp Hill Lions vs. Trinity Shamrocks

After four games on the road, Camp Hill is heading back home. They will take on the Trinity Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Camp Hill ended up a good deal behind Steelton-Highspire and lost 73-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (56), Camp Hill still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Trinity's game on Tuesday was all tied up 35-35 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against East Pennsboro by a score of 74-64. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while East Pennsboro is ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trinity can attribute much of their success to Reece Brown, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds, and Owen Schlager, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Schlager hasn't dropped below 15points for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Steele, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.

Camp Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Trinity, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Camp Hill was dealt a bruising 73-34 loss at the hands of Trinity in their previous matchup on January 3rd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Schlager, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Now that Camp Hill knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
