Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-11-1 to make it five. They came up short against the Erie Tigers, falling 10-1. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

As for Erie, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5. Considering they have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Erie's part, Kaden Bertsch looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Austin Muir, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor McMaster, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Coming up, Skyline will face off against Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Erie, they will challenge Longmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
