Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Braves vs. Taylorville Tornadoes

Mt. Zion put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Taylorville Tornadoes. The result was nothing new for Mt. Zion, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ella Fink made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Fink has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Fink was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
