Football Recap: Naples Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Immokalee last Friday, Naples came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles were beaten by the Booker Tornadoes 42-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Eagles have suffered since September 13, 2024.

It was another big night for Joel Morris, who threw for 280 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt for Booker. Those four passing touchdowns gave Morris a new career-high. A healthy portion of Morris' aerial production (119 yards to be exact) went to Tyren Wortham, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Naples fell to 2-1-1. As for Booker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Naples wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 47-0 win against Golden Gate on the 19th. As for Booker, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-14 victory against Lely on the 19th.
