Basketball Recap: Timberland Falls Despite Big Games from Kevin Brown and Ellis Wiggins + How To Watch

Timberland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 48-39 to the Cross Trojans. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in January.

Despite the loss, Timberland had strong showings from Ellis Wiggins, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Kevin Brown, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Deas, who scored five points.

Cross' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Wright led the charge by shooting 62% from the field on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Wright is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Caden Ramsey was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Timberland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Timberland and Cross will both be playing Lake Marion the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Gators at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
