Northside Falcons HomeSchool came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Houston Christian Mustangs. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Keith Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

Northside Falcons HomeSchool's record is now 18-3-1. As for Houston Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside Falcons HomeSchool will square off against West Houston HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Falcons HomeSchool is facing West Houston HomeSchool at the right time seeing as West Houston HomeSchool is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Houston Christian, they will face off against St. Pius X at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Pius X's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Houston Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
