Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Mounds Golden Eagles 52-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their 12-point performance the matchup before.

Central's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Mounds, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Central will face off against rival Allen at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Mounds is set to take on their familiar foe Regent Prep at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
