Basketball Recap: Sprayberry Gets the Win

Sprayberry won the last time they faced Woodstock and things went their way on Friday too. The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets managed a 52-46 victory over the Woodstock Wolverines.

When it comes to explaining why Woodstock lost, don't look at Morghan Slater. Despite the final result, she went 10 for 21 en route to 23 points and six boards. That's the most points Slater has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lily Conkell, who posted eight points and six assists.

Sprayberry's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Woodstock, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Sprayberry will venture away from home to face off against Lassiter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sprayberry is facing Lassiter at the right time seeing as Lassiter is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Woodstock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pope at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodstock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.
