Nowata waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 53-46 victory over the Caney Valley Trojans. Given the Ironmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Trojans are ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nowata pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Caney Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
