Basketball Recap: Raby Sets Scoring Season-High Against Orr

Raby scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orr Spartans. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Raby's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Walker, who posted 31 points. The contest was Walker's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Nick Rogers was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orr to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damarion Johnson, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 21 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Prince Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Raby now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Orr, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Raby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Clemente on the 12th. As for Orr, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-38 defeat against Jones on the 12th.
