Recap: McLane Highlanders vs. Fresno Christian Eagles
The McLane Highlanders managed to keep up with the Fresno Christian Eagles until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. McLane's rough 73-52 defeat to Fresno Christian might stick with them for a while. McLane lost against Fresno Christian in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-64 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why McLane lost, one person who can't be blamed is James Brown. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with 3 steals. The match was Brown's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Pamanes, who scored 8 points.
McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Fresno Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
McLane's road trip will continue as they head out to face Paso Robles at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Fresno Christian, they will square off against Mendota at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
