Baseball Game Preview: Reese Rockets vs. Caro Tigers

The Reese Rockets will square off against the Caro Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Reese 2.6, Caro 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Monday, Reese and Kingston finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 tie.

Caro came out on top against Sandusky on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Wolves 7-5. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Max Grice was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Caro is undefeated when Grice posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Waterman, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

With that tie, Reese's record moves to 3-1-1. As for Caro, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Reese beat Caro 5-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
