Volleyball Recap: Surry County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Surry County lost against Windsor back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Dukes.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16.

Windsor was led to victory by Ava Jones and Lydia Cox. Jones had ten aces, while Cox had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Cox a new career-high. Kathryn Mansfield also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Surry County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Windsor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Surry County will square off against rival Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Windsor is set to challenge their familiar foe Greensville County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
