Basketball Recap: Flint Hills Christian Victorious

Flint Hills Christian posted their closest victory since January 23, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Newton HomeSchool Panthers 39-37. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Panthers back in November of 2024, they had to take a 34-30 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Newton HomeSchool lost, don't look at Rachel Graham. Despite the final result, she to rack up 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Graham has become a key player for Newton HomeSchool: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least 15 points, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Krysten Schumm, who posted five points and six boards.

The win made it two in a row for Flint Hills Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-12. As for Newton HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Flint Hills Christian has already played their next matchup, a 30-29 loss against Heritage Christian on the 22nd. Newton HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
