Newington and Rocky Hill are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Nor'easters will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Terriers at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Newington took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Platt as they made off with an 18-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Nor'easters in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Rocky Hill made sure to put some runs up on the board against New Britain on Monday. The Terriers were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Golden Hurricanes. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Terriers yet this season.

Rocky Hill got a massive performance out of Ally Killoran, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs Killoran has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Lucy Criscuolo, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Rocky Hill hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive games.

Newington's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rocky Hill, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-6.

Newington beat Rocky Hill 11-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Nor'easters repeat their success, or do the Terriers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
