Baseball Game Preview: Nekoosa Papermakers vs. Mauston Golden Eagles

Nekoosa is 1-9 against Mauston since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Papermakers will face off against the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Nekoosa is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Nekoosa will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Adams-Friendship, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Papermakers had just enough and edged out the Green Devils 6-4. The Papermakers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Mauston got themselves on the board against Royall on Saturday, but Royall never followed suit. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-0.

Mauston's record now sits at 5-7. As for Nekoosa, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Nekoosa couldn't quite get it done against Mauston in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 6-1. Can the Papermakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
