Basketball Game Preview: Forest Hill Falcons vs. Centennial Eagles

The Forest Hill Falcons will head out to square off against the Centennial Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Forest Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Boca Raton. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Centennial took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 82-54 victory over Central. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 25-point advantage.

Centennial's win came from a few key players Forest Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jalen Bello, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 17 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jayden Prosper was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Centennial was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Centennial's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Forest Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Forest Hill skirted past Centennial 75-73 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
