Softball Recap: Lynnville-Sully Takes a Loss

Lynnville-Sully's last matchup with Pleasantville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Hawks lost 9-3 to the Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Lynnville-Sully's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pleasantville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynnville-Sully will head out to face off against B-G-M at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pleasantville, they will venture away from home to square off against Prairie City-Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
