Basketball Recap: Anacortes Skates Past Marysville Getchell with Ease

While Anacortes didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Marysville Getchell 60-31 on Saturday. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win (which was Anacortes' third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Marysville Getchell, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anacortes and La Conner will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Anacortes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Marysville Getchell, they will take on Stanwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
