Basketball Game Preview: Patriot Pioneers vs. Colonial Forge Eagles

The Patriot Pioneers will square off against the Colonial Forge Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Patriot's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 20 contests.

Patriot is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Gainesville by a score of 63-56. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Colonial Forge had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over the Bruins. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted since January 28th.

Patriot better keep an eye on Finn Perschau. He was instrumental in Colonial Forge's win, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Perschau has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Morris, who earned ten points and six assists.

Patriot pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Colonial Forge, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.

Patriot beat Colonial Forge 71-59 in their previous meeting back in December of 2018. Does Patriot have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colonial Forge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
