Basketball Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners + How To Watch

Basic is a perfect 6-0 against Southeast Career Tech since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolves will take on the Roadrunners at 5:00 p.m. Basic is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Basic and Silverado have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Wolves took down the Skyhawks 46-27.

Mia Frias continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 29 points. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiyan Thomas, who posted ten points.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Southeast Career Tech and Eldorado meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Roadrunners enjoyed a cozy 60-44 victory over the Firehawks.

Southeast Career Tech's win came from a few key players that Basic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mila Vidacic, who shot 54% from the field en route to 16 points in addition to five boards and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of Southeast Career Tech's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 5-2 (and 4-8 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Makensie Farthing, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Southeast Career Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Southeast Career Tech's record is now 9-10. As for Basic, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Basic got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 against Southeast Career Tech by a conclusive 37-16 score. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roadrunners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
