Concordia faced Crest Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Fighting Orioles walked away with a 3-0 win over the Cougars. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Orioles sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Not much got past Olivia Hemme, who gave up just two hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Crest Ridge off the board. Hemme has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Concordia's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Roepe, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Roepe has posted since back in April.

Concordia pushed their record up to 24-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.9 runs. As for Crest Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

As of now, neither Concordia nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
