Baseball Game Preview: Metro Tech Knights vs. Central Bobcats

The Metro Tech Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Central Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Metro Tech is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They lost 13-2 to Carl Hayden Community.

Kristopher Soberanis made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Central fell victim to Fairfax and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 22-0 to the Stampede, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Metro Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Metro Tech has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Central, though, as they've been averaging only 2.6 strikeouts. Will Metro Tech keep running through batters, or will the Bobcats buck the trend?

Everything went Metro Tech's way against Central when the teams last played back in March, as Metro Tech made off with a 16-5 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
