Volleyball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Providence Christian Academy duked it out with Franklin Road Academy on Tuesday. The LIONS fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. While the LIONS didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-16 in the first set.

Providence Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 16-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-11.

Leading Franklin Road Academy to victory were Ella Cassel and Savannah Sullivan. Cassel had five digs and five aces, while Sullivan had 13 digs and five assists. That's the most aces Cassel has posted over her last three contests.

Providence Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Franklin Road Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
