Shasta is 8-2 against Foothill since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Shasta Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Foothill Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Shasta's offense. They came up short against Pleasant Valley on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Vikings are ranked 115th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Foothill duked it out withChico on Wednesday. Foothill lost 5-0 to Chico. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cougars haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Shasta's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Foothill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3-2.
