It's playoff time, and Anoka had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Centennial Cougars by a score of 57-45 on Thursday. Given the Tornadoes' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Cougars are ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anoka is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.6 points over those games. The defeat snapped Centennial's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-16 record.
