Volleyball Game Preview: St. Charles East Fighting Saints vs. St. Charles North North Stars

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints will head out on the road to square off against the St. Charles North North Stars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, St. Charles East beat Elgin 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Fighting Saints in their matchups with the Maroons: they've now won four in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Charles East was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday St. Charles North sidestepped South Elgin for a 2-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the North Stars.

St. Charles North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 25-16.

St. Charles East's record is now 14-9. As for St. Charles North, their record now sits at 12-9.

St. Charles East skirted past St. Charles North 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Saints since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
