Basketball Recap: Greenville Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pitt County P on Saturday, Greenville Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Greenville Christian Academy Knights came up short against the Trinity Christian Tigers on Saturday, falling 67-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered against the Tigers since November 8, 2022.

Trinity Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marlee Little, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Little a new career-high in points. Riley Burnham was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Greenville Christian Academy dropped their record down to 12-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Trinity Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville Christian Academy will welcome Wilson Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ahoskie Christian at 6:00 p.m.
