Basketball Recap: Nikiski Takes a Loss

Nikiski lost against Seward back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Nikiski Bulldogs lost 57-33 to the Seward Seahawks.

Nikiski's loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Seward, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nikiski will head out to square off against Homer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Homer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Nikiski likes a good challenge. As for Seward, they will square off against Susitna Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
