Baseball Recap: Mabel-Canton Takes a Loss

Mabel-Canton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost eight in a row.

Mabel-Canton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bode Weidemann, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Mabel-Canton's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Southland, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

As of now, neither Mabel-Canton nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
