Soccer Recap: Ridgeview Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ridgeview kept a clean sheet against McLane on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the McLane Highlanders. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wolf Pack's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Highlanders are ranked first).

Jovannie Rodriguez and Aiden Macias scored both of Ridgeview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

The victory was the third in a row for Ridgeview, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for McLane, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Ridgeview and Mira Monte will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Mira Monte's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Ridgeview's offense will have their work cut out for them. McLane has already played their next match, a 6-0 win against Fremont on the 14th.
