Recap: Manchester Memorial Crusaders vs. Goffstown Grizzlies
The Manchester Memorial Crusaders lost against the Goffstown Grizzlies back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Manchester Memorial fell just short of Goffstown by a score of 31-28.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was NyAsia McKelvey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. McKelvey scored a full 35.7% of Manchester Memorial's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Avery Jenkins, who scored eight points.
Manchester Memorial now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Goffstown, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Manchester Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Salem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Manchester Memorial in New Hampshire (Salem is ranked ninth, while Manchester Memorial is ranked 59th). As for Goffstown, they will be playing at home against Concord at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Concord is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
