Basketball Recap: Elizabeth's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

On Thursday, the Elizabeth Minutemen strolled past the Atlantic City Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 76-58. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Vikings are ranked 57th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Atlantic City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Khajuan Roseborough, who posted 15 points and five assists. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Finks, who earned 17 points and five boards.

Elizabeth has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points over those games. As for Atlantic City, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.

Elizabeth has already played their next game (against Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Atlantic City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
