Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carver Montgomery). Everything went their way against the JAG Jaguars on Tuesday as they made off with an 18-8 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Carver Montgomery got a massive performance out of Jerome Price, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Price is becoming a predictor of the Wolverines' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 1-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jordan Wells, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Price wasn't the only one making solid contact: Carver Montgomery kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Carver Montgomery's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-12. As for JAG, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carver Montgomery beat the Jaguars by a score of 18-2 later that day.
