Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Falcons vs. Lakeland Lakers
Fairfield lost against Lakeland back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fairfield Falcons fell just short of the Lakeland Lakers by a score of 2-1. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lakers 25-16 in the first set.
Fairfield actually scored more points across those three sets (66-61), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 30-28, 15-13.
Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Lakeland, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.
