Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Prep Academy Drops Season-High Score on Applewood Christian

Lighthouse Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 67-54 to Applewood Christian. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Lighthouse Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ethan Stammer went 9 for 12 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Stammer a new career-high in points. Noah Fowler was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Applewood Christian, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Lighthouse Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-57 loss against Jamestown on the 3rd. As for Applewood Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th.
