Basketball Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short

Harrison lost against Meridian back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Harrison Hornets were outmatched by the Meridian Mustangs and fell 74-43. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Meridian, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Louis at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Meridian and Evart will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meridian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Evart likes a good challenge.
