Softball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mitchell can now relate to. They fell just short of the East Lake Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Mitchell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MacKenzie Tucker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for East Lake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Mitchell nor East Lake have any future games scheduled.
