Recap: Clark Chargers vs. Palo Verde Panthers
The Clark Chargers suffered their biggest loss since November 25, 2023 on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 42-20 walloping at the hands of Palo Verde. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clark has scored all season.
Clark's loss came despite strong showings from Trinity Tavita and Ariana Brown. Tavita scored two points along with ten rebounds and six blocks, while Brown scored ten points along with two steals and two blocks. Tavita has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played.
Palo Verde's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Acelin Marqueses, who scored seven points. Alana Conner was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Clark are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6. As for Palo Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark will take on Arbor View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Arbor View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday. As for Palo Verde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pahrump Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pahrump Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
