Basketball Recap: Texico Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Texico can now relate to. They fell to the Mescalero Apache Chiefs 49-44. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 61-33.

Texico has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season. Mescalero Apache has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Texico does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mescalero Apache, they will challenge Pecos at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Pecos sitting on eight straight wins and Mescalero Apache on four.
