Volleyball Recap: Downtown Doral Comes Up Short

Downtown Doral suffered their biggest loss since March 14, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Mater Brickell Academy Bulls, falling 3-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Dolphins were not able to get on the board.

Downtown Doral may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Having lost for the first time this season, Downtown Doral fell to 4-1. As for Mater Brickell Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Downtown Doral will challenge Reagan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Reagan will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Downtown Doral surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mater Brickell Academy, they will face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
