Volleyball Recap: Forreston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Forreston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lena-Winslow Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18.

Breelyn Schneiderman paced Forreston's offense, picking up eight kills. Schneiderman got some help from Hailee Vogt and her eight assists. Vogt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lena-Winslow found their leader in sophomore Kieryn Getz, who had three digs and three aces. Landrie Spidahl also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Forreston's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Lena-Winslow, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-11.

Forreston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Morrison on the 18th. As for Lena-Winslow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Durand on the 21st.
